Description:
The Pilgrim Monument was built to commemorate the "first landing" of the Mayflower Pilgrims in Provincetown on November 21, 1620.

Open Daily

April 15 to October 31, 2006

9 a.m.to 4:15 p.m. (last admission)

Hours of operation July and August

9 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. (last admission)

Closes 45 minutes after last admission.


Admission Fees

$7 adults

$5 senior citizens (62 and older)

$5 students (15 and older) with Student Identification

$3.50 children 4 to 14

Free admission members and children 3 and under

Free admission Sundays 9 a.m. ? noon

Directions to the Monument

Turn left at the second Provincetown exit (traffic light) onto Conwell Street.
Continue on Conwell Street until its end.
- Turn right onto Bradford Street.
- Continue for approx 0.3 miles.
- Right onto Winslow Street.
- Up the hill for 0.1 miles.
- Turn right into the parking lot for the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum.

Has exhibits highlighting the Pilgims landing in Provincetown ( Province Lands). Charts Provincetown's maritime history the early development of Provincetown's Theatre and the building of the Provincetown monument to honor the Pilgrims arrival.

# Arrowheads, implements, tools, and images of the local Native American Wampanoag tribe

# The town?s first fire engine, built in the 1830s by an apprentice of Paul Revere

# Bells, outfits, and photos of the Town Criers, who carried the news along the streets each day
